Southern Tier Independent Restaurants, Inc. (STIR) is a 501c3 Not-For-Profit Corporation in partnership with the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 2014, its mission is to promote the patronage of locally owned independent establishments and continue to build a vibrant restaurant scene across the Southern Tier. STIR also sponsors scholarships for SUNY-Broome and Broome/Tioga BOCES Culinary Arts Program students.
